Jeremiah & I initially planned to wake up extremely early to get a head start at Zion National Park before the sun was at its peak & before it got too crowded. However, it did not go as planned! We are usually really good about our travel plans, but we were too exhausted from traveling through Utah & Arizona.
We actually ended up getting lost on the way because we used the car’s GPS which was wildly inaccurate. Once we got signal, we switched to using the GPS on our phones.
The views during the route we got lost on were still amazing though!

Once we finally reached the beginning of Monument Valley, oh gosh, it was so cool it literally felt like we were on a movie set or some kind of different planet.
The roads are mostly dirt and uneven paths, so I advise getting a car that could withstand the road conditions. I’m glad we rented an all-wheel drive Subaru because it really came in handy once we drove deeper into Monument Valley.
There is a visitor’s center that has cool souvenirs, educational information regarding Monument Valley, & epic views of the red sandstone buttes.
We spent time looking through the visitor’s center & took some photos of the views.

Before heading into Monument Valley, Jeremiah & I checked out of our hotel near Arches National Park & grabbed some coffee for fuel.
It was a bit of a drive to get from Arches National Park to Monument Valley. The views along the way were spectacular, so I couldn’t really sleep through all the beauty.
Once we got closer to the entrance of Monument Valley, we stopped on some of the sides of the roads to take in the views. Here below is what they call the Valley of the Gods. That’s a pretty epic title if you ask me 🤷🏽♀️

Alas! My Utah posts will slowly be publishing 🤗 Jeremiah & I went to Utah over the 4th of July weekend to use the National Parks Annual Pass that my friends got me 💛 I want to renew it next year because there are so many other National Parks that have been on my list of places to see.
I wanted this to be a group trip with my brother & his girlfriend, my group of friends, or Jeremiah’s cousins, but it was pretty short notice, so no one was able to go. I’m still glad we were able to make the most out of it even if it was a short trip.
We arrived really late in evening, so once we got to our hotel, we caught up on sleep for a couple of hours before heading out for the day. This plan worked out really well for us since we stayed in the park until around midnight.
Once we woke up, we ate at Moab Diner which was close to our hotel & Arches National Park.
Right after some grub, we finally headed to Arches National Park!
We got to the park before sunset because the visitor’s center closed at 6 PM & we wanted to check out their souvenirs & get our national passport stamps.

I never got the chance to post about the Alameda County Fair in time, but I think it’s long gone now for the season. Going to the fair is one of my favorite summer traditions. Jeremiah had mentioned 2 weeks ago that we should check out the California State Fair & we were going to, but I backed out last minute because I just felt extremely restless. Maybe we’ll try to check it out next year.

Sunday, June 9, 2019 | Tea Culture x 7 Leaves
Got Tea Culture in Sacramento & 7 Leaves in the Bay. I was finally able to try 7 Leaves again, but I didn’t get their popular mung bean drink. I got a strawberry hibiscus tea, which was still good.

Wow, it has been a month since I last posted something. June was busy for me, so things are finally starting to slow down, which feels nice? I usually always have something to do, so I feel like it hasn’t truly hit me yet that I’ll have more time to do the things that I want to do without thinking of what’s holding me back. Back in March, I wrote in a notebook of all the things I want to do & it feels weird to finally have the time to do them. So, to sum it all up, June wasn’t that exciting for me, but I’m hoping to enjoy what little summer I have left. I noticed in Target that they already removed all of the summer stuff & are implementing back-to-school supplies. Already?! Time sure does fly. Anyway, here are some random photos I took last month. Really nothing special.
