The Sweet Things You Do

Jeremiah & I’s 8th anniversary had passed last month. I got a few comments like “wow 8 years already?!?!” I know, I cannot believe it either. Maybe it’s because we’ve been together so long that we don’t really think of the amount of time we’ve actually been together? 8 years really is a long time. I pretty much grew with the man I want to be with forever during my 20s. We’ve been through so much together & I can’t wait for what the rest of our lives has in store for us.

We actually celebrated our anniversary early by watching Hamilton that I posted about previously here since we weren’t going to have time to actually spend our actual anniversary together.

I got Hamilton tickets for him this year & he got me a new lens to match up with the Leica (body) that he got me for Christmas 😭 I was actually going to buy a lens on ebay, but when he realized that I started watching stuff & ready to bid, he ended up getting it before I could.

May 2019: Random Daily Flicks

Wow! May has come & gone! I haven’t been able to blog here because, as I’ve said before, May was an extremely busy month for me. So many things happened, good & bad, but I’m a little past it now & I can breathe a little easier.

Tuesday, May 7, 2019 | Looking to Better Days

This day was such a tough day. There was a bench hidden underneath this tree & I sat there & cried. It always feels good for me to let it all out & cry.

April 2019: NorCal Eats

Here’s my food post of April! I post foodie related stuff under my IG hashtag #KCxEats or here on the blog under Food + Drink.

My sister also posts a ton of food related posts, tips, & reviews on her IG which you can see here. She’s much more active in that category than I am & even got featured on Bay Area KQED! Feel free to give her a follow 🤗

Wednesday, April 13, 2019 | VN Grill

I probably eat here about 5x a month 😂

April 2019: Random Daily Flicks

Here’s April’s random daily flicks! April was pretty stressful for me because I had something to do or somewhere to go every weekend. Like I had mentioned in a previous post, these next few weeks are going to be my busiest. Overall, I always expect March – May to be busy for me because there’s so much that happens in the Spring. There are baby showers, weddings, birthdays, etc. How did April go for you?

Friday, April 5, 2019 | Shazam!

Jeremiah & I watched Shazam! the weekend it came out. We were actually trying to watch Pet Semetary, but our movie ticket service wasn’t working, so we watched this instead. We were already planning on watching it anyway, so we just switched the days we planned on watching each movie. Overall, we really enjoyed it! I also came in with very low expectations because DC films don’t usually blow me away 🙈

Thursday, April 11, 2019 | Who Let The Dogs Out?

Letting this dog out for the evening. Anyone else let their dog out & they don’t even go to the bathroom? They just want to play lol.

Friday, April 12, 2019 | Missing the Kids

Surprisingly used Portrait Mode on my phone for this doggo. Not too bad I guess?

Saturday, April 13, 2019 | Wedding Shower

Jeremiah & I went to a friend’s wedding shower & there was self-serve boba!!! & metal straws to take home 😍 This is such a cute party idea that I want to do it in the future. The pearls also had perfect texture.

Sunday, April 1, 2019 | Souvenirs from the Philippines

My mom came home from the Philippines & got some souvenirs for us. My sister got me these red bracelets & pearl earrings from Palawan 😍

My mom got me & Jeremiah these cute tumblers! The pictures on the Starbucks tumblers have famous places/activities around Palawan. My mom also got stickers for Jeremiah so he could put them on his luggage.

Monday, April 15, 2019 | Straw Bag

My mom also got me this cute straw-looking bag. It doesn’t fit my chapstick though! I use the EOS chapstick & if you’ve seen it, you know it’s round & kind of big. This purse is flat, so my chapstick couldn’t go in here 😂

Thursday, April 25, 2019 | Avengers: Endgame

Jeremiah ordered this Thor pin from Amazon that he wanted to wear for Avengers: Endgame.

We also got this souvenir popcorn bucket from AMC because you know, it’s not like we have enough Disneyland popcorn buckets 🙈

Overall, we really enjoyed the movie. We both cried. I cried in the theater when the credits were rolling & it got worse when it showed someone in particular. & then I cried more in the car. & I teared up the next day when I thought about the movie & the day after that. I’m so happy that the Russo Brothers (the directors) gave this to us diehard fans. Jeremiah called it, “a love letter to the fans”. I’ve been really emotional about it. I’m emotional about what MCU has done & given to us fans all these years. It means so much more that I got to enjoy watching the MCU movies during their opening weekends with Jeremiah. It’s our favorite pastime. The last time I really felt emotional over fictional & beautiful work was after I read Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows which are stories & characters that I grew up with & loved. They were an integral part of my childhood/teen years. The MCU was an integral part of my 20s whose stories & characters I grew to love. We were always excited for the next installment to come out. I’m so sad it’s over, but I’m also looking forward to the direction they are going to take with the future movies.

We also got posters!

Friday, April 26, 2019 | Avengers: Endgame Again

Jeremiah & I wanted to watch Avengers: Endgame again, so we got one of the late showings. Jeremiah teared up again, but I didn’t this time!

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday! How did your week go? I spent last weekend running errands because these next few weeks are going to be so busy for me. This weekend is finally going to be the start of the extremely hectic/busy part of my schedule 😭 But I know all the hard work I put in will be worth it in the end!
