I’ve grown quite fond of this park because of its large space. The Lake itself is so much bigger than I had actually thought. I had the chance to actually explore more of the park/lake a little bit & it was so huge that I couldn’t walk around & explore the whole thing.
When I think of a large Lake, I think of two things. One of them being The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald. I’ve always thought that it must be nice to have a mansion or house next to a lake with a dock during the summer. I’d like to be Jay Gatsby for a day, but just the whole mansion, lavish-party-throwing bit.
|everyone always bugs me about not showing more of my face in photos. I can’t pull off the whole “no expression, but still flawless” look. I just suffer real bad from RBF so that no expression thing doesn’t really work out for me.|
I’m currently lusting for more statement necklaces. I’ve noticed that it makes basic tops or blouses look more stylish without over-accessorizing. I’m just really picky with my jewelry because I want to get something that goes with most of what I already have in my closet.
My niece texted me a while back about Prom dress shopping & then followed up with my today about what dress she bought. I’m not exaggerating, but I love the dress she got. It wasn’t too expensive & it suits her so well. I wanted to tear up after she showed me her dress.
I got real nostalgic after talking to her about her plans for Prom. I made this small collage because I actually miss Prom dress shopping.
For both of my proms (Junior & Senior), I wore a long dress with an open back. I always preferred a long dress because I felt like it was more elegant & classy. & I loved having the open back because it added a sort of spice to the dresses.
My Junior Prom is easily one of the best times I’ve ever had. It was held at the Fairmont Hotel & one of our friends got a hotel room so we all got ready, hungout, took photos, etc. before heading down to the ballroom for Prom.
My dress was $25 or less, my cousin did makeup & hair (which stayed throughout the entire night), & I didn’t have a date so I went with a bunch of friends who didn’t have dates either & it was literally just one of the best times ever (aside from almost getting kicked out because my friend let me sit on his shoulders & one member of the staff told us not to do that anymore. LOL). My friend & I actually did that again for Winterball our senior year & a photo of me on his shoulders ended up being blown up on one of the yearbook pages. AHAHAHHAHAHA.
If I could relive that entire night all over again, I would in a heartbeat. I had so much fun with my friends.
I hope that in a couple of years I can still fit into my dress. It still fits now! But it’s starting to get a little tight around the abdomen area );
We played Adult Loaded Questions & it was my first time playing it, but I thought it was great. I like it better than Cards Against Humanity because it allows you to be more creative whereas Cards Against Humanity has all the cards set for you. I apparently won because I kept getting the favorite vote for answers. It’s fun when people don’t expect the kinds of answers I put out there ^_^ I swear to you that my mind isn’t that dirty. It just let me be more creative that’s all. haha.
It was a much nicer day than the previous. Mid-70s today & I feel like it’s only getting hotter. I have a slight cough/cold, but it could be because of the weather change or because I’m working with about 3 other people who are currently sick ); But hey, that doesn’t stop me from dressing with the weather!
I thought it was going to rain today, but thankfully the weather cleared up. Albeit, it was a bit windy, but we all toughed it out. It’s always nice to see all the kids play together regardless the age difference. Life is so much easier as a kid. You get to eat, play, have fun, & it was easier making friends. I definitely miss those days.
It’s pretty much an unwritten rule in my family that if you bring over a significant other, prepare to get roasted. AHAHHAHA. Felt so bad for my nephew Harrison. My aunties, uncles, & cousins were definitely making him a target at one point. It was embarrassing for him, but funny. No hard feelings ever though. It’s definitely all love ^_^
I do have photos of family members, but I’d like to respect their privacy by not posting their photos to the public. I post most personal photos on my facebook. I’ll post my most personal photos on here only if I get an “okay” by the parties included. Sorry!
