A few months ago, my sister was kind enough to gift me with free tickets to the De Young Museum. I swore I had only been once before, but she is adamant that she had taken me here many years ago.
This was Jeremiah & I’s first time here together. We have gone to it’s neighboring California Academy of Sciences a few times, but never here.
We went in the morning, but not early enough to score free parking, unfortunately. The earlier you arrive, the better so you don’t have to park in the underground garage.
Definitely more abstract art, which is different than what I’m mostly interested in. It was still nice to try something else for a change.
I told Jeremiah that the piece below looked like a microchip!
Can you believe the below photo was a coffin back in the day?
We really enjoyed the paintings! I can’t recall what room it was, but it was the one next to windows that overlooked the outside dining area.
We hadn’t eaten yet, so we also grabbed some lunch downstairs & drank some wine 🍷
They also had a separate entrance to see an overlook of the park 😍
