Lake Folsom

A few weeks ago some friends & I took a pontoon out on Lake Folsom. Initially, we planned to go camping in the area too, but plans changed. I still had fun nonetheless! It’s one of my summer highlights for sure.

We got a pontoon that had this small deck at the top to jump off of right into the lake, but it was too hot to hangout up there πŸ›₯

Almost everyone got a turn riding in the back with the floatie. I also brought two of my own floaties. I also have a huge unicorn floatie that I regret not packing.

Renting the pontoon is $390 total with the tube for 4 hours & the boat can fit up to 12 people. Per my friend who organized the rental, it’s only $100 to rent the pontoon for the whole day.

We didn’t spend all of our time driving around the lake. We stopped in some areas to swim & chill a bit.

If you plan to steer the boat, it’s mandatory you watch a 30 minute video to learn how to operate the gears. It doesn’t seem that difficult to learn, but hey, I also wasn’t the one steering it around the lake.

After our rental was over, we spent time BBQing. There are several benches to occupy if you plan to come with a big group. The parking lot was also spacious for enough visitors.

After the day, I expressed to Jeremiah many times over about how much fun I had & that I wanted to go back. It was great finally being able to get the chance to hangout with friends on the lake πŸ’™
